What Is Acupuncture? Acupuncture is a system of medicine that is over 3000 years old. It utilizes pre-sterilized, single use needles to connect and regulate the body's vital energy, Qi (pronounced "chee"), to restore balance and promote health. |
These treatments are based on the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) ear protocol, which has proven to be extremely powerful in alleviating symptoms of acute stress and trauma. With ongoing auricular (ear) treatments, one may sleep better at night, have increased energy, and feel better during the day. Participants have reported an increased ability to cope with stress and to find balance, inner peace and healing.
During the treatments, participants sit fully clothed in a circle of chairs. Modesty is always respected and most people find the atmosphere inviting, comfortable and relaxing. Following the insertion of the needles, each person is invited to close their eyes and rest for 30-45 minutes as the acupuncture does its work. Group treatments create a sense of community and enhance the benefits for everyone.
